Extremely disturbing video was taken via cell phone of a teacher’s aide in Milwaukee horrifically abusing a 14-year-old student.
The video is only 17 seconds long, but shows more than enough. The footage was obtained by WISN 12 News and reveals the 39-year-old aide slamming the student on the floor of a classroom, choking his neck, and questioning, “What the f*ck did I tell you, mother*cker?”
The aide also calls the student the n-word.
The aide has been arrested and the student was temporarily hospitalized for minor injuries, according to WISN. A spokesperson for the school district stated that, “As soon as the school administration was notified of the incident, the Milwaukee Police Department was contacted and the staff member was removed from the classroom.”
This form of violent behavior from educators is unfortunately a little too common. There have been numerous incidents involving teachers and aides physically and verbally abusing students as young as five years old.
The Milwaukee Police Department has said the case will be turned over to Milwaukee’s District Attorney—let’s hope the outcome of this demonstrates zero tolerance for this behavior.
