Terminally Ill Dad Watches Daughter Graduate From Hospital

by
"We were praying that dad could make it to her graduation even if that meant we had to wheel him in a wheelchair," Heaven Bailey wrote on Facebook.

Heaven Bailey's sister, Hollie Bailey, is graduating from Floyd Central High School in Indiana on June 4.

Their father, Larry Bailey, won't be able to make the ceremony due to terminal cancer, Global News reports. He was admitted to the hospital in the middle of May, and he's currently cared for at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital.

Determined to include Larry Bailey in the milestone event, however, Hollie Bailey's boyfriend and best friend hatched a plan to bring graduation to Larry Bailey. They met with the school's principal, Rob Willman, to orchestrate a makeshift ceremony in the hospital itself.

In a Facebook post that has since gone viral, Heaven Bailey wrote about the event and captioned it with pictures and a clip.

"SURPRISE!" Bailey wrote on Facebook. "We turned Baptist Health Floyd in FC for the night!!! It was a blessing for all of us to witness such a magical moment! Thank you to everyone who help make this possible."

From the looks of it, Larry Bailey very much appreciated the impromptu celebration for his daughter's big accomplishment.

Facebook rallied behind those involved in the comments section, expressing their support for those involved.

Best wishes to the Bailey family and friends. And congratulations, Hollie Bailey.
