When Jason Barnes lost his right hand in a freak accident two years ago, he thought his dream of becoming a musician was over.
He had always wanted to become a professional drummer, but the amputation was a massive setback.
His passion for drumming was such that his instructor referred him to Georgia Tech Center for Music Technology's founding director, who then fixed Barnes up with a prosthetic limb that takes cues from the muscles of his severed arm and allows him to continue his music practice.
Thanks to this bionic arm, he is now set to display his drumming talent in front of a live audience in a few weeks' time. Check out how he does in the studio in the video posted above.
