Horror Movie Ghosts Playing Baseball In Japan Will Haunt You For Life

Spectators were waiting for a face-off between Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters and Tokyo Yakult Swallows. But two murderous ghosts appeared instead.

Baseball and horror movies are wildly popular in Japan.

However, for reasons unknown, someone came up with the idea of combining the two and the results were as bizarre as you can imagine.

The incident occurred ahead of a Nippon Baseball League match — the highest level of professional baseball in Japan  between the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters and Tokyo Yakult Swallows.

Spectators instead viewed an eerie face-off between two of the country’s leading horror movie villains, Sadako from “The Ring” and Kayako from “The Grudge.”

As Sadako threw her first pitch at 96 kilometers per hour, Kayako made a hit, before collapsing on the field. Instead, her son Toshio ran to first base.

The murderous pair reportedly interrupted the game to promote their upcoming film, “Sadako vs. Kayako.”

Thankfully, the two didn’t stay on the field for too long. They were eventually escorted out, leaving the teams to continue playing out the rest of the game.

"Sadako vs. Kayako" is set to be released in Japan on June 18.
