Disasters and economic migration created these ghost towns.

The lifespan of cities and places are as mortal as human beings. Once bustling towns and venues that were earlier the hub of activity in their towns come to a halt.

While many abandoned places like Pripyat in Ukraine were left because of manmade calamities like the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, others, such as Hashima Island in Japan, became ghost towns as a result of changing industry and economic migration.

While their trajectory varies, they each tell a sad story of a past era when they were full of life.
