When Jennifer’s mother, Karen, met Ambra for the first time, she couldn’t help but exclaim:
“You’re my daughter!”
“Your smiles are the same…I want to see your family tree.”
Of course, Ambra and Karen aren’t actually related—they’re just another in a line of lucky doppelgangers who’ve found one another via the “Twin Strangers” project. Founded by friends Harry, Niamh, and Terence as part of a bet to find the most precise look-alike, the project has since grown into a worldwide platform giving people everywhere the opportunity to track down the “twin” they never knew they had.
In this latest successful case of serendipitous “twinning,” 23-year-old Ambra of Fayetteville, North Carolina and 33-year-old Jennifer of Spring, Texas were able to meet in person to admire the astonishing similarities between them. As Ambra says in the YouTube video documenting their meeting,
“Oh my goodness…she really does have my face.”
“I was awestruck the moment I saw her face in person. I did not want to take my eyes off her.”
As is the emerging custom for “twin strangers” who meet in person, Ambra and Jennifer put on matching outfits and makeup to really drive the similarity home.
You’d better believe this is one encounter they’ll never forget
