According to USA Today, Jeremy Allen Watts, 30, and Jessica Faye Heady, 24, visited a Clarksville, Tennessee Cash America Pawn shop with several items they wanted to get off their hands.

However, the pair ran into a bit of a problem when the shop owner, Edward Dial, recognized the items.

Dial reportedly went home and noticed that someone had broken in and stolen two PlayStation game consoles, controllers, video games, and DVDS. The items were valued at more than $1,000.

Both Heady and Watts were arrested and charged with aggravated burglary and held on $50,000 bond.

While this may seem like an unlikely twist of fate, the outcome of this incident has karma’s name written all over it.

Luckily Dial acted so quickly, otherwise the two thieves would have made out with a pretty penny at his expense.
