This 80-Year-Old French Cyclist Is An Inspiration

Benjamin Piovesan of France became a serious bicyclist later in life -- much later.

Portrait of my grandfather : 80 and still cycling from Florent Piovesan on Vimeo.

Benjamin Piovesan first caught the cycling bug as a very young man, shortly after his family emigrated to France. But he didn't get really serious about the sport until much later -- about 50 years later, in fact. When Piovesan -- who has logged between three and five thousand miles a year for the last dozen years -- recently turned 80, his grandson paid tribute to the occasion with the video above. Check it out, and you'll never doubt the age-defying effects of exercise again!
