One woman went from undergoing spinal surgery in September, to completing the world's biggest Marathon in New York City on Sunday.

As the TCS New York City Marathon came to a close on Sunday evening, there were only a few runners left to cross the finish line.

Saskia van Waaijenburg was one of the very last finishers and the official TCS marathon Facebook page posted a video of her triumphant home stretch as she strolled across the finish the line with her walker in hand greeted with cheers and applause.

If the video wasn’t heartwarming enough, Waaijenburg left a comment on the post in which she told the incredible story of how she went from undergoing spinal surgery in September to completing the world's biggest and most popular marathon on Sunday.
