So proud of my Ivy League daughter...brains and beauty channeling her Edie Sedgwick. On Instagram @samichka_ pic.twitter.com/mpQxhr3mh3— Michael Cohen (@MichaelCohen212) May 15, 2017
When a man shares a picture of his scantily clad daughter and says he is “proud” of her, you have to wonder what the world is coming to.
Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump’s attorney and spokesperson, tweeted a black-and-white modeling photo of his 21-year-old daughter, Samantha Blake Cohen, in which she is wearing only a lacy bra and sheer leggings.
He captioned the picture: “So proud of my Ivy League daughter...brains and beauty channeling her Edie Sedgwick.”
The photograph, as evident by Cohen’s comment, is a recreation of model Sedgwick, who is best known for being in visual artist Andy Warhol’s inner sanctum.
As expected, the backlash was swift and brutal. Many people agreed Cohen’s daughter was beautiful and intelligent but her father posting a picture of her in lingerie was not appropriate.
“If my Dad tweeted a photo of me in my underwear I would throw up,” Julia Macfarlane said.
“Yep, she's gorgeous, however most fathers don't share lingerie pics of their daughters on social media Mr Creepypants,” another person wrote.
@MichaelCohen212 The last time my dad posted a pic of me in lingerie was never.— Mimi ™ (@Mimi_ftw) May 15, 2017
When was the last time your proud father shared a picture of you with the world, in a bra (appears to be) to brag about your ivy league..? https://t.co/V9XaKewXOw— ALT?? Immigration (@ALT_uscis) May 15, 2017
@MichaelCohen212 Jesus, what is it with you and Trump sexualizing your own daughters?— Schadenfreude (@GraySky66) May 15, 2017
@MichaelCohen212 If this was a picture of Malia Obama, you'd be calling her classless and inappropriate. If Barack posted, you'd call him a pimp. Right?— Hazel Bee ?? (@thehaze1bee) May 15, 2017
“She's lovely. But seriously dude, no cap & gown pics available? Think before you post. If she has got brains, she didn't get them from you,” another added.
However, things got even more creepy when a Twitter user named Bonnie Bratnober replied to Cohen’s tweet .
@MichaelCohen212 POTUS wants to date his daughter, the VP calls his wife "mother," and DJT's attorney posts spank-bank material of his daughter.— Bonnie Bratnober (@bonibrat) May 15, 2017
Cohen replied by simply tweeting, “Jealous?”

Talk about ewww!
Obviously, the response garnered even more backlash.
This is the very same person who defended Trump against allegations claiming he raped his previous wife Ivana Trump.
“You’re talking about the frontrunner for the GOP, presidential candidate, as well as a private individual who never raped anybody. And, of course, understand that by the very definition, you can’t rape your spouse,” he said.
Cohen’s action echoes that of President Donald Trump, who landed in controversy more than once for stating how physically attractive he finds his daughter Ivanka.
In an interview with “The View” Trump was asked about his reaction if his daughter posed nude on the cover of Playboy magazine. This was his horribly inappropriate reply:
“I don’t think Ivanka would do that, although she does have a very nice figure,” Trump said. “I’ve said if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her.”
In a 2004 interview with Howard Stern, he gave the lecherous host his permission to refer to Ivanka as a “piece of a**.”
And let's not forget about that vomit-inducing photo in which a 15-year-old Ivanka in a miniskirt is sitting on Trump’s lap next to a pair of concrete parrots doing the dirty.
However, Samantha Cohen defended her father and said she had no issues with him posting her picture on social media.
“I finished a rough semester with a 3.75 GPA this spring, was asked to model for an up and coming photographer and just received some of the proofs,” the 21-year-old told the Daily Mail.
“My father, who has always been supportive of my endeavors, was merely expressing his pride. There is nothing inappropriate in the picture and those who seek to make it something it is not are merely Trump haters who are using this as an opportunity to stir up drama.
“There is nothing inappropriate about my taking the photograph or my father's decision to share it. I am ashamed at these people for their reactions and believe it indicated more about their own perverted mindsets as nothing they are saying has any merit nor is it rooted in any truth.”
