Alanis Morissette’s hit ‘Ironic’ is finally ironic! Thanks to two New York City sisters Rachael and Eliza Hurwitz who re wrote the original song.
Throughout the song, they sing, "We fixed it for you, Alanis. You're welcome."
While Morissette’s song is full of instances like,"It's like rain on your wedding day," and "a traffic jam on a day when you're already late," which may be sad and upsetting but not ironic buy any stretch of the word, the sisters’ touch has finally made the song live up to the title with changes like, “It's like rain on your wedding day and the girls tweaked it to say it's like rain on your wedding day. On a day and place you chose because it's known not to rain.”
