During the opening ceremony of the Bills-Jets game on Sunday, a giant, almost a 100-yard long American flag ripped into two halves.
Fortunately for those who didn’t attend the game, the hilarious moment was captured on camera by someone in the crowd (who can be heard laughing out loud in the video).
Apparently, the match on Sunday was a rather unusual event for the spectators. During the second quarter of the game, a fan fell down the 300-level railing on top of another man in the 200-level section. Both men were treated immediately and taken to the hospital for observation. You can watch it in the video below:
The flag video was also posted on Reddit, a site well-known for dissecting almost any person, issue, event, animal, and technology in the comments section.
Some users reckon the flag didn't rip. It was connected with Velcro.
Here’s what other Redditors think about the torn flag:
“Made in china.”
“And behold, the curtain of the nation was torn in two, from top to bottom. And the earth shook, and the rocks were split.”
“Hey look, it's broken....just like our country.”
The flag didn't rip, the pure patriotism just burst right out of it. God bless this godamn country.
