The Kilauea volcano of Hawaii is known as one of the world’s most active volcanoes, according to USA Today. During one of its most recent eruptions, a smiley face seemed to form in its 80-feet deep crater.

Kilauea has been continuously erupting since 1983, but the current lava flow began on May 24 and barely just reached the Pacific Ocean on July 26 — its first time reaching the ocean since 2013.

The video of the fiery smiley face was captured Thursday by helicopter tour company Paradise Helicopters and depicts a nearly perfect grin with two glowing eyes.

The footage is truly remarkable and offers a glimpse of beauty at a time when the world — particularly the United States — is being bombarded by ugliness in the form of hate.
