No rain can stop you from a random act of kindness, especially when you are an officer with a caring heart.

No rain can stop you from a random act of kindness, especially when you are an officer with a caring heart.

Charles Ziglar of the Winston-Salem police department in North Carolina is receiving much praise after a photograph of him, helping a mother and toddler in heavy rain, went viral.

Officer Zilgar was on duty when he graciously offered his help to the mother and her child by giving them a ride in his vehicle in the pouring rain.

WXII reports, that an onlooker captured officer’s act of kindness and later the image was posted on North Carolina City ’s Facebook page. The post reads: ‘A Winston-Salem officer is getting some "likes" for his kind gesture to a mom and child during Tuesday's pouring rain.’

Well, of course everyone then noticed and shared the photo and it went viral.

Check out some of the comments on the photo:

The best part about this story is that the officer believes he is getting extraordinary attention because this is an everyday thing for him.

"It's not just some kind of random occurrence," Ziglar said. "It's pretty simple. It's doing the right thing."

Well, he’s honestly being modest.
