A disgruntled woman made the very shocking decision to crash her SUV right through the middle of a T-Mobile store in Palm Springs, Florida.
Shinobia Montoria Wright, 26, reportedly went into the store on Wednesday to have her cracked iPhone replaced. The very next day, she drove her vehicle into the establishment and began smashing glass displays with a squeegee, according to T-Mobile blog, TmoNews.
Later, Wright explained to authorities that her rage stemmed from being told the previous day that she would have to pay for her replacement phone even though she had insurance on it. Apparently, this news was the cherry on top of a “bad day” that she was having.
Police said that, based on their preliminary investigation, neither drugs nor alcohol appears to have been involved in the incident.
Luckily, no one was killed as a result of Wright’s dangerous stunt. She reportedly had to undergo surgery due to injuries sustained to her forearms from driving through the store, and one T-Mobile employee injured his knee when the SUV knocked over a display case.
Wright caused more than $30,000 in damages to the establishment.
After following her impulses fueled by anger, Wright now faces charges of aggravated battery, battery, burglary, criminal mischief over $1,000, and reckless driving, according to the Palm Beach Post.
Visiting your cell phone service provider can oftentimes be a frustrating experience, but Wright only made matters worse for herself. She endangered many lives and will likely be sentenced to jail time and/or hefty fines, all because she couldn’t keep her anger under control.
We’re all entitled to a bad day, but Wright took things to a whole new level. Please, don’t try this at home.
