Woman Leaves Pregnant Waitress $900 Tip In Phoenix

"Nine-hundred dollars is a lot of money. And it took a while for it to set in. Once it did, I cried for a little while," the server said of the act.

One woman in Phoenix spread the holiday cheer to a server in the most charitable way possible: by leaving her a whopping $900 tip, CBS Los Angeles reports.

Server, bartender, and manager Sarah Clark is due to give birth on Jan. 8, and times have been on the tougher side. She'll be forced to take maternity leave without pay, and her fiancé is scheduled for knee surgery soon.

Clark, who has worked at Pita Jungle for seven years, said she had talked to this particular customer before.

"I had talked to her in the past about my fiancé being injured and him being out of work," the mom-to-be said.

When the woman, also pregnant, came to pick up a takeout order that cost a total of $61.30 on Dec. 20, she left Clark the unimaginable tip.

On the receipt, the customer wrote a note.

The note reads, "This is God's money — he gave it to us so we could give it to you. God bless."

Clark, who will be putting the money toward rent and other bills, was blown away by the customer's kindness.

"I couldn't believe what I was looking at at first because it’s such a high amount," Clark said to CBS 5 AZ. "Nine-hundred dollars is a lot of money. And it took a while for it to set in. Once it did, I cried for a little while."

Never expecting to be on the receiving end of such generosity, Clark is about as grateful as it gets.

"It’s a huge, huge help for me and my family," she said.

Big hearts make the world go round.
