Dr. Dre Body Searched, Handcuffed By Malibu Police

Police officers arrived at Dr. Dre’s home after a man allegedly called 911 to report Dre had a gun.

Prolific rapper and producer Dr. Dre was handcuffed and searched outside his Malibu home over an alleged road rage incident, TMZ reports.

The incident occurred outside Dre's Malibu home. It all happened when Dre asked a man blocking his driveway to move. The man started yelling and cursing and Dre took out his phone to record the incident.

According to TMZ, the guy said, "Here we go again, another black guy with a gun" before calling 911.

The police duly arrived at the producer-turned-headphones mogul’s home, and body searched and handcuffed him even though no gun was found on him.

“Due to the nature of the call, the person was searched, handcuffed and briefly detained in a patrol car while deputies investigated the incident,” said Sheriff’s Capt. Chris Reed.

The disgruntled man insisted on making a citizen’s arrest. The documents for the arrest will now be forwarded to the district attorney’s office, which will then decide whether there's a case to pursue.

Dr. Dre is the stage name of Andre Romelle Young, a rapper, record producer and entrepreneur. He has overseen the careers of many rappers, including Tupac, the D.O.C., Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Xzibit, Knoc-turn'al and 50 Cent.
