“Saturday Night live “came back for its 44th season opener with one heck of an opening poking fun at the Brett Kavanagh’s hearing in all its SNL glory fashion.
The sketch was full of great performances that sure to become a classic, from Matt Damon’s Kavanagh, Kate McKinnon’s Sen. Lindsey Graham and even a cut out of Alyssa Milano.
Playing the Supreme Court nominee, was none other than a rage filled Matt Damon who entered the scene after “shadow boxing in the men’s room for the last 45 minutes.”
When asked if he would be open for a real FBI investigation, Damon pulled out a calendar and insisted that every night he was “lighting weights” with his friends “PJ and Squee.” All this was said after he practiced while “screaming into an empty bag of Doritos.”
When he was asked if he drank in high school, Damon responded by saying “I like beer!”….ten times. He even poked fun at Kavanaugh’s opening statement, telling the audience how it was “a con job” orchestrated by people like Kathy McGiffin, the Clintons “Mr. Ronan Sinatra” and even “Alyssa Friggin Milano.”
Another great performance was by SNL’s very own Kate McKinnon who completely transformed into Sen. Lindsey Graham and busted out saying, “This isn’t no trial, no due process…. This is hell. That’s what it is. It’s hell.”
Damon finished the opening act with a little warning reminding us that “if you think I’m angry now just wait until I get on that Supreme Court – because then you’re all going to pay.”
