'SNL' Imagines How Donald Trump Would Handle An Alien Invasion

"The aliens are laughing at us. They’re killing us and laughing at us."

Alec Baldwin made his way back to "Saturday Night Live" and reprised his role as President Donald Trump, this time for a satirical war against aliens.

It's become almost a weekly routine but SNL has made mocking Trump the most must-see portion of their broadcast. After a few weeks on the sidelines, Alec Baldwin returned to the role as commander in chief.

On this week’s episode, we saw how the POTUS would handle an alien invasion in particular: the same way he is handling the presidency right now.

Baldwin kicked off the show with a cold open. Wearing a military jacket, Baldwin touted "the best military" in his speech to the soldiers, encouraging them to "beat the aliens."

A group of armed service men and women gathered on the eve of battle only to be giving an inspirational speech from Baldwin's President Trump.

“Now here’s the deal,” Trump told to assemble soldiers. “We are going to beat these aliens because we have got the best military, but we don’t win anymore. And the aliens are laughing at us. They’re killing us and they’re laughing at us.”

He went on to tell them his plan: "Here’s what we’re going to do, we’re going to bring coal back. You won't believe how much coal we're going to have. You'll say I never knew there could be so much coal."

When told that the aliens had just vaporized the entire state of California, Baldwin responded, "So I won the popular vote?"

From there, the sketch makes the expected comparisons between the invading Zorblat-9 and Russia, as Trump defends the other side, prompting one grumbling soldier to speculate about the president’s business ties to the invaders.

The aliens do eventually get inside of Trump’s military base, which causes him to awkwardly try to pass off his general as the human “leader” the aliens would like a word with.
