Army Rangers In Afghanistan Honor Fallen Heroes With Memorial Day Song

U.S. Army Rangers deployed in Afghanistan have released an emotional tribute video everyone should watch this Memorial Day.

Two Army Rangers have released a country song and music video from Afghanistan in honor of Memorial Day. The unique tribute is dedicated to military families of fallen American heroes.

“I’m Gonna Miss You” was written and produced by First Lt. Andrew Yacovone and First Lt. Justin Wright. The musical duo met on their first day of training in 2014.

Andrew described the moment as a bunch of soldiers standing around after an exhausting day of training.

“I called out to the crowd and asked if anyone played guitar,” Andrew said. "Lo and behold, Justin was standing right next to me and he was like, 'Heck yeah, I play guitar!"

The pair jammed all night. These same Army Rangers (currently stationed in Afghanistan) are guitarists who wrote and performed the song “Hometown Hero” last year.

The two, who refer to themselves as “Interstate 10,” released the song this weekend to dedicate it to military families.

The video tribute shows the words “To remember those who fought for our freedom,” but words can’t fully describe the message behind the song.

Take a moment of your Memorial Day weekend to honor those who’ve given the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom by listening to this song.
