Did Trump Bribe Florida AG So She Would Drop Trump U Investigation?

Donald Trump’s shady dealings with Florida Attorney General, Pam Bondi, have come to light after a new investigative report detailed their alliance.

By running for president, Donald Trump has opened the floodgates for all of his shady dealings and business practices to be exposed.

As Election Day draws near, Trump-related scandals continue to unravel. The Huffington Post published a report Tuesday that details the GOP nominee’s sketchy ties with Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi.

The report states that back in March 2014, Trump held a $3,000 per person fundraiser at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida for Bondi — after she had suddenly decided to drop a probe into Trump University.

We now know that Trump University was a scam, and he’s currently dealing with the legal repercussions; however, that may have come to light much sooner and more students could have been relieved if Bondi had gone forward with her investigation.

In 2013 — prior to the lavish fundraiser — Trump’s personal foundation had given $25,000 to a pro-Bondi PAC. Meanwhile, Trump has downplayed his relationship with Bondi, claiming she is just someone he has backed politically.

However, the history of his financial support suggests more.

Aside from the $25,000 contribution and the Mar-a-Lago fundraiser, Trump and his daughter Ivanka each gave $500 to Bondi’s campaign back in 2013.

The next year, they donated another $125,000 to the Republican Party of Florida, which is the largest source of Bondi’s campaign funds.

Needless to say, his backing was instrumental in her re-election, which also explains why she’s currently such an avid supporter of his presidential campaign.

It would appear that Trump went the extra mile for Bondi for a reason, and it is more than likely that it's because she didn’t pursue the Trump University investigation. Trump owed her big time, and he delivered with his extensive monetary support.

Ironically, just three days before Trump’s foundation cut the $25,000 check to the pro-Bondi PAC, reports had surfaced that Bondi’s office was planning to join the New York lawsuit against Trump University — but that never happened.

Bondi barely scratched the surface in her investigative attempts. She followed up with some of Trump University's disgruntled former students, according to The Huffington Post. However, none of her efforts materialized into legal action against Trump.

In addition to exposing more of Trump’s corruption, The Huffington Post's report further proves his hypocrisy.

Trump has built much of his campaign around the notion that he is not influenced by political gifts.

His greatest attack against his Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton, is accusing her family’s foundation of accepting donations from governments and individuals while she served as Secretary of State.

On the flip side, Trump’s relationship with Bondi shows that he used his money as a business mogul to influence politicians.

It is, essentially, the very same wrongdoing he is accusing “Crooked Hillary” of — just from the other side.

This just goes to show that Trump is an even bigger liar and even more corrupt than any of his political rivals he has condemned.

Now all we need are those tax returns he’s been hiding to hammer the final nail in the coffin of his campaign.
