Here is something that Americans have come to realize in the aftermath of the catastrophe that was the Trump administration’s efforts to repeal Obamacare: The Republican leadership doesn't really care about the people.
The Democratic National Committee chairman said something similar in his address to New Jersey Working Families Association (NJWFA). Incriminating the entire GOP, Tom Perez said that the health care message of the Republicans essentially is “I don’t care.”
He ripped the GOP to shreds for being unable to repeal the ACA. Saying that whether you call it "Ryancare" or "Trumpcare," the real name of the policy should be “I don’t care.”
“Because they don’t give a s*** about people!” he said to a cheering crowd. “This repeal was a massive tax break for the wealthy.”
Perez is proud of the protests that had erupted since Trump became president, saying that the women and the men who have gotten out of their homes for the resistance embodied the real spirit of America.
Sometime during his address, the lights went out.
“And you know what? You can try and silence our lights, but we will bring your abuses to light.”
