A Good Samaritan from Brooklyn suffered broken bones, cuts and bruises after he offered to pay for two men’s food at a fast food restaurant.
The incident took place earlier this month when two men who entered Texas Chicken & Burgers were heard loudly complaining of being short on cash for their food. A 37-year-old unnamed man, who overheard the conversation, then stepped in and offered the men some money, but what happened next was something he surely didn’t see coming.
The men suddenly got violent as one of them exclaimed, “I’ve got money, I’ve got money,” and then shouted, “Mind your f***ing business!”
They then began punching the kind-hearted man who, in self-defense, swung his cane at the attackers. Two other men joined the attackers in the restaurant and began punching and kicking the victim who, by then, was lying helpless on the floor.
Unfortunately, the misery for the injured man didn’t end here. Following the assault, another man entered the restaurant and robbed the victim of all his belongings, after which he left with the other four men.
None of the customers around stepped in to help and continued placing their orders as if nothing had happened.
The 37-year-old was later rushed to a nearby hospital where he was treated for his injuries. The police are now searching for the culprits, who have been recorded on video.
