Israel is investigating amateur footage showing a border policeman pushing over a Palestinian man in a wheelchair.
The video was filmed by a local activist on Feb. 14 after a 20-year-old Palestinian woman allegedly tried to stab an Israeli policeman in Hebron.

As bystanders rushed to the man’s aid, an officer pointed his gun in a man’s face, kicking him away while a stun grenade was thrown toward the gathering crowd.
“The people wanted to save her life and bring a Palestinian ambulance,” Issa Amro, the director of the Youth Against Settlements group, told the Telegraph. “The border police prevented all of them from reaching her and giving her any treatment. The man in the wheelchair was trying to reach the girl on the ground and he was pushed over.”
Although violence is a part of life for both Israelis and Palestinians — especially in East Jerusalem and the West Bank — tensions have escalated in the embattled region over the past couple of months after Israeli incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound last September.
Since October, Israelis have killed at least 176 Palestinians, a majority of whom include alleged assailants, according to Israeli authorities. At least 27 Israelis have also been killed.
