This is a perfect example of when trying to be a criminal goes wrong. A teenager devised a plan to rob another teen, but that quickly went up in flames because he ended up getting robbed instead.
The robbery victim must be feeling pretty stupid after he tried to take advantage of a customer he was going to sell marijuana to. According to KWTX, police in Waco, Texas, describe the suspect as heavyset. He met with the teen he robbed at gunpoint at the Tennyson Middle School track.
“The juvenile’s plan was to grab the potential weed buyer’s money and then outrun the heavyset customer,” Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said, according to KWTX.
But instead, the customer pulled out a gun and robbed the teen of his cellphone.
The would-be robber was released to his grandparents, Swanton said, according to KWTX. But police investigating the incident are still searching for the suspect.
Things could’ve gotten much uglier if the would-be buyer pulled the trigger. Thankfully, he didn’t.
