A U.S.-born business mogul, who now lives in Taiwan, has embarked on an ambitious (and evidently deranged) journey to re-enact the worst terror attacks ever to occur on U.S. soil, just so he could test some conspiracy theories.
Paul Salo, a marketing consultant who has apparently started various businesses in China and Japan, plans to raise $15 million to purchase “a 747 or equivalent aircraft that’s about to go out of service” and “a building that’s about to be torn down in the countryside.”
His new project, called a “recreation” of 9/11 attacks in New York City, aims to see if the explosions and the destruction that followed was fake.
“If you doubt anything about 9/11, we want to blast this to smithereens,” Salo said in a video posted on his online fundraiser campaign page. “Or, we want to prove you completely right.”
The expat wants to crash the “fully loaded” plane into the building at 500 miles an hour — all in front of a live audience.
“We probably will find out that it was a similar physics as what happened on 9/11, OK? I believe that actually 9/11, some guys flew airplanes in there,” he continued. “But at the same time, hey, I’m no dummy. Maybe it’s not true. I want to find out too. I want to fly that sucker in there. We’re going to find out exactly what happens when something goes 500 miles an hour into a building full of fuel.”

While Salo insisted that he does not wish to disrespect the victims of the horrendous attacks and their families, he did mention that a contribution of $5,000 or more would get one a front row seat for the collision.
“Streaming video from the plane, the building and full inspections before and after,” the entrepreneur promised. “You will see it all, and meet like-minded folk. It will be an epic event however it turns out.”
