An Atlanta-based rapper who goes by the name of Ralo has landed himself some hate on social media after he posted a video of himself on Instagram, throwing cash at homeless people outside a shelter and then laughing at them.
The clip showed him launching the money at the underprivileged from the sunroof of his car in Atlanta, Georgia, as men and women scrambled to grab the cash.
The rapper, whose real name is Terrell Davis, captioned the video: “F*** going to the strip club, all the n***** wit money let's go to all the homeless shelters and make it rain on the poor people.”
Although his intentions behind the stunt cannot be determined for sure, some internet users called him out for “degrading” the homeless.

This rapper dude Ralo.....that is what black self loathing looks like. I understand as I get older why hip hop is embarrassing sometimes.— Posthumous Tweets (@uncle_quincy) October 22, 2016
“Very sad. The thought was great. But you truly treated them did respectfully like animals like they get treated daily by others on the street. Very nice but done very distastefully... And why post it?? You got the attention you wanted” one person commented on the Instagram video.
“You stuntin on the gram for pub Ralo. I'm disgusted watching this. Give it tob them the same way you got it. In your hand.”
However, others seemed to see through his actions and appreciate him for being kind hearted and sharing money with the poor.
“Boyyyy I don't see how you deal with these negative comments from these people just reading them make me wanna go off on them myself ... You did a good thing though , people just don't understand that you did it from the heart and not for entertainment I respect what you did times” one supporter wrote.
“No other rapper doing this he giving to the homeless Amen he not fronting he giving back yall just wish he did that on yall in the club,” another said.
All in all, the numerous comments suggested that people appreciated his act of handing out money to the homeless, but found the way he did so to be rather degrading. They suggested that he should’ve gracefully given them the money in their hands rather than throwing it at them and then recording a video.
