As Democrats call for the investigation of former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn over his communications with Russia before his appointment, Republicans are refusing to commit, going as far as to say that investigating the man is a “useless” endeavor.
Flynn admitted in his resignation letter that he had not fully informed Vice President Mike Pence of his discussion with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak. Pence later went on stage to refute the fact that Flynn had discussed U.S. sanctions against Russia.
Shortly afterward, Flynn resigned. Yet even stepping down amid such suspicious circumstances is not enough for the Republican Party to demand his investigation. In fact, they are making terrible excuses for not investigating him.
Take a look above to see how they are trying to downplay Flynn’s actions.
