In his first public appearance since Donald Trump became president, reclusive White House chief strategist Stephen K. Bannon sat down for an interview at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference and made some rather disturbing revelations about the future he and his cronies are planning for the country.
The warmongering architect behind Trump’s nationalist agenda used the forum to discuss a number of things the new administration is focusing on, like homeland security, economic nationalism, and of course, “deconstruction of the administrative state.”
“Every business leader we've had in is saying not just taxes, but it is also the regulation,” said Bannon.
That is right. The notorious white supremacist openly admitted Trump team’s ultimate goal is to dismantle the systems of taxation, regulation and trade.
“I think the consistent, if you look at these cabinet appointees, they were selected for a reason, and that is the deconstruction,” the former Breitbart chief continued. “The way the progressive left runs is, if they can't get it passed, they're just going to put in some sort of regulation in an agency. That's all going to be deconstructed and I think that that's why this regulatory thing is so important.”
This certainly explains a lot about Trump’s controversial cabinet picks.
From the selection of climate change denier Scott Pruitt to the head Environmental Protection Agency, a department he has sued over a dozen times, to the nomination of Betsy DeVos as the education secretary despite having no background whatsoever in public education, all of Trump’s cabinet choices seem unqualified for the jobs they are assigned.
Now we know exactly why.
These people are not supposed to run their departments effectively — they are supposed to destroy them.
This serves as more proof the West Wing is being run by the far right, which for decades has advocated against “unelected" federal agencies because they supposedly represent a “mortal threat” to American “sovereignty and self-government.”
During his interview, which he shared with Trump’s Chief of Staff Reince Priebus, Bannon also made some combative statements against the media, whom he presumes to be Trump administration’s biggest foe mainly because it continues to call the president out on his quasi-dictatorial attitude.
“They’re corporatist, globalist media that are adamantly opposed — adamantly opposed to an economic nationalist agenda like Donald Trump has,” the alleged domestic abuser continued.
He also declared that the White House is in midst of a battle to transform Washington and overturn the present world order.
“If you think they’re going to give you your country back without a fight, you are sadly mistaken,” Bannon added. “Every day, it is going to be a fight.”
Just when you thought things could not get scarier, Trump’s administration proved you wrong.
