As the resistance against President Donald Trump’s Draconian policies gains more and more momentum, activists and businesses are coming up with very creative ways to join the movement.
A programmer named Nathan Pryor created a device that allows users to make instant donations to the ACLU with the push of a button, beauty brand Illamasqua introduced an anti-fascism pledge that they ask customers to commit to before purchasing their products, and now a United Kingdom-based candy company is using sugary treats to take Trump down.
The gag rule prohibits giving United States funding to nongovernmental organizations that offer or advise on various family planning and reproductive health options if said options include abortion.
How does a simple sucker combat Trump’s play against women’s reproductive rights, you ask?
All the profits raised from the lollipop sales will go to the International Planned Parenthood Federation, The Huffington Post reports.
With this move, Smith & Sinclair said they hope that buyers will “take a moment with Trump that’s easier to stomach than any other.”
In addition to their notable cause, the lollipops also come in two delectable flavors, including butterscotch and sea salt, and strawberry and mint.
The only thing really left to ask is: Why didn’t anyone think of this sooner?
