The supporters of Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump, have spawned yet another sexist and utterly disgusting online campaign to make the Y chromosome mandatory at the polling station with hashtag #RepealThe19th — a reference to the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote some 96 years ago.
The controversy started after Nate Silver of FiveThirtyEight tweeted a poll showing the media mogul would easily win by a landslide if only men voted. Silver also posted another graph showing that Hillary Clinton would dominate the election if only women voted.

Eric Trump later sent out the male map in a fundraising email in order to inspire supporters.
“We need your help to continue funding our aggressive ad blitzes and our campaign’s get-out-the-vote operation. We’re making huge gains against Crooked Hillary that you can see for yourself,” he wrote of the men-only graph. “We’re not just winning national polls like L.A. Times/USC and Rasmussen, we’re beating back the increasingly desperate Dems in the battleground states, too.”
Thus the hashtag, #RepealThe19th, was born.
Give out nice enough handbags and most broads would gladly trade their voting rights for one. #repealthe19th— Michael Maier (@mmaier2112) October 12, 2016
Sadly, this is not the first time Trump fans have used the misogynistic hashtag.
However, all the deplorable tweets demanding to take away women’s right to vote were soon drowned by the flood of social media posts slamming the tag.
Apparently there's a move to #repealthe19th What's next?A repeal on slavery? Why don't we just go back to the dark ages and be done with it.— Sarah Ann Walker (@SarahAWalker) October 13, 2016
Is this 2016 or 1916? Women fought for and won the right to vote. You can't do a takesies-backsies. #repealthe19th— Hannah ? (@hannahnprince) October 12, 2016
Remember when Donald Trump said "grab them by the p***y" and we were like, okay this is rock bottom. LOL JOKES FOR DAYS. #RepealThe19th— Catie Warren (@catie__warren) October 12, 2016
What kind of a world do I live in where #RepealThe19th is real. No matter who anyone is voting for, why are people even considering this.— ??????? (@Nicole_Ann1673) October 13, 2016
Literally the ONLY thing that surprises me about #RepealThe19th is that Trump supporters know there are more than 2 amendments.— Emm Kayy (@m_kaish_esq) October 12, 2016
#repealthe19th This is why the only group that trump leads in the polls is uneducated white men.— heather mecko (@HMecko) October 12, 2016
Trump’s overwhelming popularity among the male demographic, as compared to the female, is not surprising considering all the awful things the White House hopeful has said about women.
The former reality TV star is facing a heap of sexual assault and harassment accusations following a 2015 leaked audio tape where he bragged about grabbing and molesting women — because “when you’re a star they let you do it. You can do anything.”
In the past, Trump has also called women “dogs,” “slobs” and “pigs,” and frequently makes inappropriate comments about his own daughter, Ivanka.
