Donald Trump spokeswoman Katrina Pierson spoke on Thursday with CNN about Trump’s event to raise money for veterans organizations, but CNN host Jim Sciutto took the opportunity to also ask her about offensive and disturbing tweets she posted regarding President Obama.
In October 2012, Pierson wrote: “#2012 Choice: Mormon or Jihadi #clear enough” referring to the choice between Republican candidate Mitt Romney and Barack Obama.
#2012 Choice: Mormon or Jihadi #clear enough?— Katrina Pierson (@KatrinaPierson) October 4, 2012
In March 2013, she tweeted, “This corrupt country has a head Negro in charge. What is he doing for blk children? He’s helping everybody else, why?”
These tweets may be old, but Pierson clearly still believes what she wrote. Sciutto called her words “alarming,” but Pierson did not apologize or state that she regrets the tweets.
Instead, she slammed the public for looking at tweets from years ago, and then said she spent most of 2012 “fighting off liberal activists…you can pull any of those tweets out of those heated discussions because a lot of time it’s in the sphere of fighting off other liberal activists.”
Essentially, Pierson blames so-called “liberal activists” on Twitter for inciting her inexcusable racist and offensive language.
Pierson has made other extremely controversial comments in the past. She wrote “Perfect Obama’s dad born in Africa, Mitt Romney’s dad born in Mexico. Any pure breeds left?” and offered to wear a necklace of fetuses to bring attention to abortion.
Such a bigoted individual is honestly the perfect spokesperson for Donald Trump.
