'Dead Man' Found In Mud Was Allegedly Just Really Drunk

Shocked locals thought the man was dead and called the police who efficiently pulled him out of the mud, hosed him down and took him to the nearby hospital.

After a night of too much partying, Jorge Luis Villanueva Anticona, a half-naked Peruvian male, apparently fell into a mud pit and passed out.

The locals, taking him to be dead, called the police who hosed Anticona down and took him to a nearby hospital.

The footage shows him waking up shocked, looking at the police officers, saying, “I didn't do anything.”

His aunt, Adela Anticona Rutia, said he had come to the city of Cajamarca to celebrate the birthday of a relative.

A source said that he was really drunk and suffered from severe hypothermia.

According to local media, he had wandered into the river for an unknown reason, and after giving up trying to get free, had decided just to go to sleep.

This should definitely serve as a lesson for this man, to think twice before overdoing the drinks; recently a drunk customer left a $1,000 tip at a restaurant, but begged for its return later after regaining his sobriety.
