It's Not Just You, Even Trump's Own Team Thinks He Is Unfit For Office

“I genuinely do not think this is a mentally healthy president,” said Eliot Cohen, a former State Department official who served under the Bush administration.

According to the Huffington Post, President Donald Trump called his national security adviser, retired Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn, at 3 a.m. to ask about a financial detail.

His question was worrisome.

“President Donald Trump was confused about the dollar: Was it a strong one that’s good for the economy? Or a weak one?” HuffPo reported.

Flynn, who is a master in counterintelligence, didn’t have an answer. And Trump wasn’t very pleased.

Neither the White House nor Flynn’s office responded to requests to confirm this incident.

White House leaks about the goings-on of presidents isn't unusual. Generally, staffers leak information to sabotage each other for some sort of political gain, to maintain their position or to get rid of polices they find problematic. However, the sheer volume and nature of leaks from aides within the Trump administration is alarming.

“I’ve been in this town for 26 years. I have never seen anything like this,” said Eliot Cohen, a senior State Department official under former President George W. Bush and a member of his National Security Council. “I genuinely do not think this is a mentally healthy president.”

The New York Times also pointed out to something similar with a story of the commander-in-chief wandering around in a bathrobe alone at night, after watching television and venting his anger on his favorite platform of Twitter.

“I think it’s a cry for help,” said Elizabeth Rosenberg, a counterterrorism expert at the Treasury Department under former President Barack Obama.

She thinks staffers, after seeing what happens around them, feel the need to share this information to ask for help.

“Incredulity, and the need to share it,” she said.

According to Republican National Committee member Randy Evans, it was too early to believe what the leakers shared. It is more of a political jockeying situation, and nevertheless, the leakers cannot be blamed.

Actually, it’s the president who’s at fault.

“This is what happens when you have a narcissist as president,” said Evans

Of course, there is something wrong with the commander-in-chief. He blames everything terrorism-related on immigrants, news that is not in his favor is fake news, and he has no respect for women or people with disabilities.

His Twitter feed itself can serve as a big leak, defining his mental capacity.
