An Australian teen pleaded guilty on Thursday for hacking into Apple’s mainframe. The 16-year-old had been hacking Apple for a year before the FBI was notified.
The teen hacked the company’s mainframe while accessing customer accounts and downloading files. He downloaded 90GB of files and saved them in a separate file that he named “hacky hack hack.”
The Australian Federal Police entered the teenager’s home in Melbourne with a search warrant where they found two laptops matching the serial numbers of devices that had hacked the company.
Police also found a cellphone that matched the IP address of a device which also hacked the company. The teen told the police that he dreamed of working for the company and wanted to connect to the company’s internal system remotely.

Instead of offer that kid a job apple acted as usual status quo and spoiled the talent. Irony— Muhammad Faisal (@faisalusuf) August 16, 2018

The brilliant yet unwise young tech master will be sentenced by the magistrate next month. What he has done is quite serious, and hopefully he has learned a valuable lesson and is ready to face the consequences. Maybe after he serves his punishment, Apple will consider giving him a job. However, that may be wishful thinking.
