Royal Jordanian Airlines brilliantly trolled the Department of Homeland Security and President Donald Trump’s ban against electronics larger than a smartphone on certain flights from specific airports.
As the electronics ban targets airports in eight Muslim-majority countries — with Royal Jordanian being one of the most affected — it’s only fitting that the airline would offer some alternative ideas to its passengers to pass the time on their long journeys.
Royal Jordanian released a facetious list of “12 things to do on a 12-hour flight with no laptop or tablet,” which include various activities such as “appreciate the miracle of flight,” "pretend tray table is a keyboard,” and “think of reasons why you don’t have a laptop or tablet with you.”
The list is clearly oozing with sarcasm at the expense of the ludicrous ban that puts unfair limits on what travelers can do while flying across the world, leaving them to potentially go stir-crazy.
No doubt this little tongue and cheek jab to the United States government is hilarious, but it also sheds a spotlight on just how ridiculous this ban is.
