These cops look like they're going to create a caliphate and behead moderate police officers https://t.co/3nWOsddEGt— Staff Sgt. Joker (@ArmyStrang) April 10, 2017
Staying away from hard drugs is always a good idea, but now you have one more reason to avoid them at all costs: The Lake County, Florida, police force.
Seriously — you won't want to mess with Sheriff Peyton Grinnell.
The Daily Dot reports that Grinnell recently starred in an anti-heroin PSA, and it's a real terror, to say the least.
"Over the last month or so, I've had several phone calls from citizens in this county concerned about the number of overdoses related to heroin," the sheriff says at the start of the video. "I want our citizens to know that I'm aware of this serious issue. I am asking our residents to please call and let us know if you know of a location that this poison is being pushed out to our streets."
Grinnell also has a message for the dealers.
"Enjoy looking over your shoulder, constantly wondering if today's the day we come for you," he says. "Enjoy trying to sleep tonight, wondering if tonight's the night our SWAT team blows your front door off the hinges. We are coming for you."
According to CNN, drugs are the No. 1 cause of accidental deaths in the United States, and heroin-related deaths jumped a whopping 439 percent from 1999 to 2014. In 2014, opioids were a factor in more than 28,000 deaths, making up 61 percent of total drug overdose deaths in the country.
These stats considered, Grinnell's scare tactic is a positive move.
