If there's anyone who should be informing us of just how bad the weather is, it's Brad Pitt. Sure, that sounds like an odd statement, but consider this: His on-screen charisma (almost) makes the impact of global warming a little easier to swallow.
Pitt appeared on Comedy Central's "The Jim Jefferies Show," and of course, he made fans swoon — although the contents of his segment were not exactly optimistic.
"Now, of course, the world is still grappling with [President Donald] Trump withdrawing from the Paris accord, and we wanted to address it one more time before we say goodnight. To help us understand climate change and what it means to the world, here's our own Jim Jefferies Show weatherman," host Jefferies says before panning to Pitt standing in front of a weather map.
"Thank you, Jim," Pitt says graciously.
"So things are going to be getting warmer in this area here," he says, gesturing to the map, which shows every country under extreme heat. "And this area here."
When Jefferies asks for future forecasts, Pitt's expert answer is about as despairing as it gets.
"There is no future," he says simply.
Sadly, not even Pitt's good looks can save the world.
