Did This Pilot Really 'Lean Out' Of The Cockpit To Take A Selfie?

While the unusual selfie, posted on Instagram, has received many likes, a lot of people question its authenticity.

A Brazilian pilot's Instagram photo has prompted intense debate over whether he actually leaned out of a cockpit window to take a selfie.

The photo, posted on the account @pilotganso, shows the pilot cruising above the popular Palm Islands in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

According to his profile, the pilot is a Brazilian citizen living in the UAE.

The post, which was uploaded to the account last month, has amassed over 15,000 likes and dozens of comments from people arguing over its veracity.

A lot of people noticed the pilot's hair is not blowing against the wind, as it should be. Others pointed out the photo was way too stable for the plane's actual speed.

Obviously, it turned out to be a Photoshop stunt, Snopes.com reports:

"Mainly, the reflection in the pilot’s sunglasses appears to show an airport runway, which indicates that even if the pilot took a selfie while hanging out of his cockpit window, he did so while the plane was on the ground at an airport and not in the air."

Also, the pilot has posted several other, similar photos on his Instagram account. This one was "apparently" taken over New York.

?? ????Nova Iorque, aqui vamos nós!!! Hey NY, here we gooo ????????????????????????
