A Chinese police officer used his own body to save a falling woman in Aksu Prefecture, China. The heroic case shows the dedication of Abdusalam Abulati to his chosen field and his compassion for humanity.

A video posted on YouTube by CGTN captures the dramatic and frightening moment when a woman jumped from the first floor of a foot spa.

The incident, which took place in northwest China on March 4, shows a woman falling from the first floor of a foot spa. However, the cop's quick thinking saved her from harm. The 45-second clip shows the policeman running toward the woman using his own body and breaking her fall.

Local media reports the woman just had an argument with her husband. It's unclear if she was just pretending to lean down the window to frighten her husband or actually jumped in the heat of the moment.

The woman who fell on top of Abulati did not sustain any injuries but the brave policeman was sent to the hospital with an injured spine.

Fortunately the police offer is reportedly recovering well.

The video has earned more than 44,000 views along with comments like "God bless this true hero" on YouTube.

Another person called Jackie Chan-Mix said: "Great & honored Job .. hero...God bless your health & family. Hope you get well soon."

The police officer is being hailed as a real-life Superman by some Twitter users. He certainly is that.

"Real Superman," says a Twitter user.

"That officer deserve to be honored," suggests another.
