Rescuers Form Human Chain To Save Dog From Torrential Waters

A young dog fell into a water reservoir and was struggling to keep his footing. Thankfully, a group of good Samaritans passed by at exactly the right moment.

When passersby spotted a dog floundering in the torrential waters of a reservoir, they did something that will make any animal lover's heart sing.

The incident happened close to the Sayran reservoir in the city of Almaty, Kazakhstan. The small  dog, probably in pursuit of a drink, stepped too close to the reservoir’s edge and fell in. The frightened puppy was desperately trying to keep its footing in the water while just a few meters away from a dangerous waterfall.

Fortunately, help came as a group of friends, who were strolling nearby, staged a brave rescue that was captured on camera by social media user Marjana Khadreeva.

The rescue attempt started with a man climbing down into the water, grabbing the dog and pulling it to the bank. Once he got there, his friends linked hands and formed themselves into a human chain. They eventually reached the man and quickly pulled him and the dog up the steep slope, back to safety.

The video was uploaded on social media and quickly grabbed the attention of many users.

“Thank God there are still kind people on Earth. Thank you for your bravery,” said one commenter. “You have great hearts and your parents did a great job raising you. Animals need our support, love and care. Thank you for a good deed.”
