Mark Zuckerberg recently stepped outside his comfort zone and experienced something totally new when we went for a spin around the track with NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Although the Facebook CEO was smiling while getting strapped into the car, he openly admitted he was a “little terrified.”
“He has promised that he's going to take me out for a few laps, which I have to admit I'm a little terrified about. But you've promised me that you're gonna keep me safe out there, and that you're just gonna help me feel the grip of the tires,” he said before getting into the passenger seat of the car.
He was then driven around a track in Charlotte, North Carolina, as Earnhardt hit speeds of up to 170 mph.
“Holy s***!” Zuckerberg said as the ride kicked off.
“All right so if this is all we get to do in Charlotte, that will be enough,” Zuckerberg said toward the end of the drive.
But despite how scared he was, Zuckerberg admitted the experience had been amazing.
“Yeah! That was amazing. I think there will probably be millions of people who would die to do what I just did,” he added.
"I wanted him to get a sense of the speed and the grip and the G-Forces. I'm sure it was exhilarating. I couldn't imagine getting into a car with a race car driver having never driven before myself,” said Earnhardt about Zuckerberg.
