If you've got a chip on your shoulder about President Donald Trump, join the club. You've got corporate company, since McDonald's appears to be an active member.
The cat came out of the bag this morning, when the fast food giant posted a tweet about Donald Trump's qualifications, or lack thereof ... plus his egregiously small hands.
The post, since deleted, directly tweeted Donald Trump and said, "You are actually a disgusting excuse of a President and we would love to have @BarackObama back, also you have tiny hands."
There were several theories as to how this happened — including a politically exhausted social media team member — but McDonald's was quick to address the breach.
Twitter notified us that our account was compromised. We deleted the tweet, secured our account and are now investigating this.— McDonald's (@McDonaldsCorp) March 16, 2017
The good people of cyberspace, however, are calling for the return of the tweet.
@McDonaldsCorp I'll buy 100 McNuggets right now if you put the tweet back up.— Pete Haas (@dimeford) March 16, 2017
.@dimeford I'll throw in another 100— Jordan Uhl (@JordanUhl) March 16, 2017
As the Daily Dot points out, Donald Trump is something of a McDonald's enthusiast, so the insult may have hit him where it hurts: right in the gut.
This is a safe space, McDonald's. Tell us your true feelings.
