President Donald Trump has been aggressively disputing claims that he is widely disliked.
Several polls have revealed his high disapproval ratings — particularly amid the abrupt implementation of his immigration ban — which he has denounced as “fake news.”
However, images and footage from a pro-Trump rally held in Portland, Maine, on Saturday may actually affirm just how disliked the new POTUS is.
Alas, it appears that only eight people participated in this action.
“I’m just kind of letting you know there’s another side to the story,” Trump supporter Doug Prevost reportedly told the station. “Letting people know [Trump] has an awful lot of backers behind him.”
Where those “awful lot of backers” were during this demonstration is a question that has yet to be answered.
Of course, this pathetic gathering became perfect fodder for brilliant Twitter jokes — many of which alluded to White House press secretary Sean Spicer's false claims about Trump's inauguration crowd.

Perhaps the low turnout is not a reflection of the lack of support, but of the organizers’ poor planning and promotion. But ironically, just a few days prior in the same city, an anti-Trump rally supporting immigrants’ rights garnered a crowd of approximately 1,500 people, The Huffington Post reports.
This drastic difference may not come as a huge surprise, considering that election exit polls indicate Hillary Clinton actually won the state of Maine, and it has voted blue in the last five election cycles. But, one thing we can say about this handful of Trump fans is that they are, indeed, dedicated.
