Tim Tebow may have been voted the country’s fifth favorite quarterback, but he is certainly the internet’s most popular NFL player.
Less than a week after he went to visit his ex-teammate who got wounded during the nightclub mass shooting in Orlando, Florida, Tebow came to the aid of a family of man who apparently suffered a near-fatal heart attack on a plane, according to a social media post.
Tebow was traveling to Phoenix from Atlanta on a Delta Airlines when passengers gathered around a man who fell unconscious due to heart problems. Plane passenger Richard V. Gotti posted a photo on Facebook, stating how the QB left his first-class seat to comfort the man’s family during the medical emergency.
“I listened to shock after shock from the AED machine and still no pulse. No one gave up. I observed people praying and lifting this man up to the Lord in a way that I’ve never seen before,” Gotti said in the post. “Then all of a sudden, I observed a guy walking down the aisle. That guy was Tim Tebow. He met with the family as they cried on his shoulder! I watched Tim pray with the entire section of the plane for this man.”
Gotti added the medical staff was able to revive a pulse in the passenger once the plane landed in Phoenix.
According to KGET-TV’s Lina Washington, Tebow helped transport the man’s wife to the hospital.
Another Instagram user said Tebow even helped the family with their baggage:
Delta Airlines confirmed the incident and passenger/crew but didn’t release the names of any passengers involved, including Tebow.
