A veterans group that goes by the name of VoteVets.org has openly called out President Donald Trump in a new powerful ad.
The video features an Afghanistan war veteran weightlifting on one leg after losing the other in battle. Although the visuals are powerful enough to put across a strong message, a voiceover perfectly added into the clip is even more hard hitting.
“President Trump, I hear you watch the morning shows. Here’s what I do every morning. Look, you lost the popular vote; you’re having trouble drawing a crowd, and your approval rating keeps sinking. But keeping thousands of my fellow veterans off their health insurance by killing the Affordable Care Act, and banning Muslims won’t help. That’s not the America I sacrificed for. You want to be a legitimate president, sir? Then act like one,” a voice in the video says sternly.
The video was aired on Monday’s "Morning" Joe show on MSNBC, one that the POTUS apparently watches on a regular basis as part of his morning routine. This therefore ensured that the message reached Trump loud and clear.
The organization even shared the video on its Twitter account with a hard-hitting caption that read: “We’re officially putting @realDonaldTrump on notice. You want to be a legitimate President? Then act like one."
In another tweet it added that the ad will be aired on various other morning shows in the near future.
The ad comes just a couple of weeks after Trump issued executive orders seeking to repeal Obamacare and imposed travel restrictions that bans people from seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the United States.
