You’d better think twice before you ever complain about having a bad hair day again.
A hairstylist in Madison, Wisconsin, is being accused by his customer of giving him a style that is less chic and more “ick.”
The customer, a 22-year-old man, entered Ruby’s Salon on State Street Friday and asked for his hair to be shaved on the sides with an inch taken off the top, according to Madison.com. But the stylist was not happy with his customer’s inability to stay still, it seems.
Khaled A. Shabani, the barber who was cutting the man’s hair, tugged at his client’s ears after Shabani said he had been fidgeting too much. It was apparently too much for the barber to bear because the next thing his client knew, he had snipped at one of his ears.
“While it is not a crime to give someone a bad haircut, you will get arrested for intentionally snipping their ear with scissors,” Madison Police Department spokesman Joel DeSpain said in a statement.
After that, the stylist immediately ran his clippers straight through his customer’s hair, with the shortest possible setting used. He ended up looking like “Larry” from "The Three Stooges," DeSpain wrote in the incident report.
Police arrested Shabani for “mayhem and disorderly conduct while armed.”
Shabani maintained that the snipping of the ear and the bad haircut had been accidents. The client, however, was not quick to forgive. He decided to even things out and get his head completely shaved — at a different salon, of course.
Bad haircuts happen to everyone at some point in life. But, thank your lucky stars that you didn’t have this stylist cutting your hair. Unless you’re hoping to get a bad haircut, like Moe or Curly, in the near future, it’s best to steer clear of this particular salon.
